00:20 - Liddell comes out hoping to get a comfortable 2nd Round win, he throws the inside leg kick stunnin Couture's right leg and giving him an oppurtunity to throw a few punches.
00:39 - The threat of Liddells punches is over and Couture goes punch for punch the Iceman.
00:46 - Couture and Liddell circle each other one waiting for another to slip or make a Mistake.
01:12 - Couture throws a big right, Liddell retaliates with two lefts followed by a right evening the scorecards.
01:44 - The crowd boo's as the second round shapes out to be much less exiting as the first
02:12: Liddell livens things up with an inside leg kick to Couture.
02:39 - Both men go for a grapple, Couture easily taking down Chuck, he throws a punch and misses but manages to get to his feet and throw another, this time connecting.
02:42 - The crowd now goes wild looking for John McCarthy to stop the fight as Couture pounds down the punches on Liddell's face.
02:44 - Both fighters hesitate and Liddell lands a big kick from the ground on Coutures upper cheek, hoping to capatalise he rushes to his feet and follows up with a left jab and a right hook.
03:01 - Couture is rocked but stays on his feet as Liddell throws punch after punch succesfully landing every one.
03:36 - The worn out Iceman now circle's Couture and the Natural then pounce's on Liddell grabbing him round the waist and tossing him to the ground.
03:44 - Couture attempts an armbar on Liddell unsuccessfully as the Iceman escapes and throws more jabs going at Couture.
04:09 - Couture comes back with jabs, successfully hitting Liddell and knocking him back against the cage, referee John McCarthy looks to intervine as Couture places his hands on the cage.
04:25 - Liddell goes for an obvious knockout blow on Couture but this backfires as the Natural goes for another takedown Chuck is floored.
04:49 - As the end of the round approaches the two fighters are split up and are made to stand up again.
04:52 - Couture is struck with another left jab and right hook from Liddell asnd as his guard goes up the round comes to a close.
05:00 - Round ends.
